Even when I ultimately decided on a property in a different area (and state!) than we were originally considering, Alison seamlessly made the transition and expertly informed me of the subtle differences we would need to keep in mind when buying in Massachusetts instead of Connecticut. You know that house with the forlorn sale sign that sits on the market for months and months?  Yeah, that was my house.  For six months, we diligently cleared the driveway, decks, and roof of leaves and snow, vacuumed the rugs, and scrubbed the toilets before every showing.  But no bites.  We did price reduction after price reduction.  Eventually, my listing agreement expired and my agent suggested taking it off the market for a couple of months.  With carrying costs mounting, my husband and I were frantic to move the house to minimize our losses.  Enter Aly. Within a couple of weeks of listing with Aly, we were under contract.  With some creative tweaks and fabulous photography, she found a way to draw buyers' eyes toward the house's potential and market it in such a way that there were no surprises when people drove up what was an extremely steep driveway that had previously turned many others away at first glance.  And when we received the results of the inspection which revealed tens of thousands of dollars worth of repairs, it was Aly who held our hands through the negotiating and repair process, minimizing our costs and saving us at least ten grand. So it was no surprise to anyone when my husband and I called upon Aly for her help when we had to find a new home immediately.  Her patience, optimism, and experience are the reason we have our dream home today.  She calmed our nerves as we waited out a Hubbard clause, protected our interests when we let our excitement temper our sense of caution, and coordinated a closing less than 3 weeks after we went under contract.
